Gilleen Pearce is a marketing and communications professional with a diversified background in business and entrepreneurship, non-profit administration and communications, and political activism. Her master’s degree in political science allowed Gilleen to explore her deep interest in social justice and equity, then develop her career helping non-profits and purpose-driven businesses (including her own, running a busy dog-walking and pet services business from 2016-2019). Other professional highlights have included sharing the stories of healthcare workers as part of a labour union and leading the Better Way Alliance, a non-profit network for business owners committed to decent work principles and advocacy.
In her personal time Gilleen takes care of her daughter, obsesses about gardening, and practices the ukelele while dreaming about getting a band together.
